Welcome to Calvert family chronicles

Nau mai, haere mai! My name is Barry Calvert and this site has been setup to share the stories of my family starting with my father Frederick who was born 4 April 1930 in Dunedin New Zealand and died tragically on 6 June 1977.
This is a tentative journey for me, writing and sharing a short biography of his life. All going well, I will be publishing one chapter at a time on this site over the next year or so. Eventually I hope this place can become a space for Calvert family members to share the stories and photos of their loved ones, past and present. 

I have also decided to include what I currently have of the family tree starting with my great grandfather Frederick Calvert who arrived in Dunedin on the ship xxx  in 18xx.

As you can see immdiately the site is a work in progress so please bear with me as I progress with it. But I'd be delighted if you would like to contact me and join with me as we preserve and celebrate the Calvert's rich history in New Zealand.
